On March 1, 2016, the National Conference on the Promotion of Controlled-Release Fertilizers was held in Linyi, Shandong. The conference was hosted by the National Center for Agricultural Technology Extension and Service of the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Engineering Research Center for Controlled-Release Fertilizers, and undertaken by the JINGZHONGDA Ecological Engineering Group Co., Ltd. According to statistics, in 2015, the demonstration and promotion of controlled-release fertilizers had expanded to 25 provinces nationwide, with 83 experimental demonstration points. Demonstration data shows that the overall yield increase effect of controlled-release fertilizers on corn is significant. Compared with farmers' habitual fertilization methods, the average yield increase per mu is 16.2%, with an increase in income of 187.5 yuan; compared with ordinary fertilizers with the same nutrient content, the average yield increase per mu is 7.6%, with an increase in income of 100 yuan.

On March 1, 2016, the National Agricultural Technology Extension and Service Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Engineering Research Center for Controlled-Release Fertilizers hosted the 2016 National Controlled-Release Fertilizer Promotion Conference in Linyi, Shandong Province. The conference was undertaken by Kingenta Ecological Engineering Group Co., Ltd.

  Statistics show that in 2015, the demonstration and promotion of controlled-release fertilizers had expanded to 25 provinces nationwide, with 83 experimental demonstration sites. Demonstration data shows that controlled-release fertilizers significantly increased corn yields. Compared to farmers' usual fertilization methods, the average increase per mu was 16.2%, resulting in an increase of 187.5 yuan. Compared to ordinary fertilizers with the same nutrients, the average increase per mu was 7.6%, resulting in an increase of 100.3 yuan. In the corn demonstration experiment in Zhangye City, Gansu Province, Kingenta controlled-release fertilizer resulted in approximately 215.5 yuan more in cost savings and increased efficiency per mu compared to usual fertilization methods.

  Xin Jingshu, director of the Soil and Fertilizer Division of the National Agricultural Technology Extension Center, stated that the promotion and application of new fertilizer products such as controlled-release fertilizers, and the demonstration and promotion of new fertilization methods such as simultaneous sowing of seeds and fertilizers and mechanical fertilization, play a crucial role in reducing the amount of chemical fertilizers used and improving fertilizer utilization efficiency.

  Over the past ten years, the annual growth rate of controlled-release fertilizers in China has exceeded 45%, and its production and consumption have accounted for more than 50% of the world's total. Controlled-release fertilizers have become a major product of new fertilizers. Kingenta's demonstration cooperation with the National Agricultural Technology Extension and Service Center has covered 26 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, 118 cities and counties, and 36 types of crops. Under a model of government guidance and enterprise leadership, the application area of controlled-release fertilizers has exceeded 200 million mu, basically covering the main areas of China's field crops and cash crops, resulting in approximately 74 billion yuan in cost savings and increased efficiency.
